PSD to PDF Conversion FAQ

Will the PSD to PDF conversion keep my fonts / formatting?

Headings, lists, tables and images are kept, and the fonts used are embedded in the PDF, so it looks the same in every viewer. A font that is not installed on our conversion servers (Calibri, for example) is replaced with a similar one, so line breaks can shift. An image file becomes a PDF page that shows the image.

Is the PDF searchable (selectable text)?

Yes when the PSD contains real text (DOCX, ODT, HTML, TXT, EPUB). Image-based PSD produces an image-only PDF — to make it searchable, use /pdf-ocr/ after conversion to run optical character recognition.

Can I password-protect the PDF after conversion?

Not in this tool — convert PSD to PDF first, then use the /pdf-* tools to add a password, watermark, or restrict editing.

Is my PSD file private during PDF conversion?

Yes. Uploaded PSD files are processed on our own conversion servers, no person reviews them, and they are never shared. The upload and the converted PDF are both deleted automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. See /privacy/ for the full policy.

Does the converter work with scanned PSD images?

Yes — a scanned-page PSD (JPG, PNG, TIFF) converts straight to PDF. If you need the PDF to be text-searchable, follow up with /pdf-ocr/ to run OCR over the scanned pages.

Can I convert PSD to PDF and email it directly?

Not from the converter UI itself. After download, attach the PDF to your usual email client. The PDF file is portable and works with every modern PDF reader (Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, Edge).

PSD

PSD (Photoshop Document) is the native file format for Adobe Photoshop. PSD files store layered images, allowing for non-destructive editing and sustaining design elements. They are crucial for photo-definition graphic design and photo manipulation.
