Your SVG file has no inherent pixel size — it is geometry, so you choose the output resolution. Pick the largest size you will actually display, then scale down in the browser; rasterizing small and scaling up is what produces the soft, blocky TIFF everyone complains about. We default to 1024px on the long edge and let you override it.

It depends entirely on the target. PNG, WebP, TIFF and ICO keep the alpha channel, so an unfilled SVG background stays transparent in the TIFF. JPG, JPEG and JFIF have no alpha at all and composite onto white instead.

They are composited in document order into a single flat TIFF. Grouping, ids and layer names are structural metadata with no raster equivalent, so they are not preserved. Export separate SVG files if you need the pieces to stay separate.
